This was a real find! Traditional African food. My food came in a bowl and there was a rice ball that had been steamed so that it was melted together, two skewers of steak tomato broth over the top with tomatoes and onions and peppers. Nina greeted us with a smile and helped us navigate options when we arrived as first time customers. Everything was DELICIOUS. So fresh. At checkout I was going to just get water, I mentioned I wasn’t in the mood for super sweet juice drinks but she let me sample each of her fresh signature drinks, and to my surprise they were not overly sugary like chain stores usually are. and the flavors were so balanced and delicious, I got the ginger lemonade, yum! The Lamb bowl was so good! Tender savory seasoned meat paired with the brightness of the veggies and spinach sauce went so well together. My only regret is I didn’t order a meal that came with fufu. The food was absolutely amazinggg! I’ve never tried fufu before and it was even better than I had imagined! The peanut butter sauce and chicken was so delicious! As someone who has moved from NYC and missed the variety, I was so excited to find and enjoy this little spot here in Omaha! I had the special with goat and fufu and was so scared after not having good goat in years. If you're scared to try it out, I recommend giving it a shot!
